"I am trying to win the Most Valuable Pet contest through Bissel, which will donate $10,000 to the rescue where I adopted my amazing Chow mix Kabuki. My boyfriend and I adopted Kabuki when we were living in Los Angeles from Adopt-a-Chow ( http://www.adoptachowla.com/). The woman who runs the rescue is an incredibly dedicated and determined individual. What makes this rescue so special is that she is not just looking for a home for these abandoned dogs, but rather a perfect fit for both owner and dog. This obviously takes a lot of time and energy as she patiently works with every potential adoptive “family” to place each dog in a loving home.


During this time of financial uncertainty, a large number of non-profit organizations are suffering and may be forced to close their doors. For a small organization like Adopt-a-Chow, $10,000 can make an immeasurable difference in the lives of these beautiful dogs and would ensure that the shelter could continue to rescue even more abused and abandoned animals."
